Since the discovery of a possible tetra-neutron resonance, there is a renewed interest in the existence of trineutron resonance. First I would like to review the experimental efforts to find a tri-neutron state, mostly done in the last century, then to show my biased view on the key to success for observing the tri-neutron resonance employing new experimental means realized in the 21st century, that is the exothermic charge exchange reactions.
