Giovanni Gerardo Muscolo

Since April 2025, Dr. Muscolo is a Researcher (with fixed term contract) within Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) at European Centre for Theoretical studies in Nuclear Physic and Related Areas (ECT*) in Trento, and a Visiting Research Professor at the Department of Physics of the University of Trento, thanks to the Joint Research Initiative between ECT* and Dept. of Physics.

Dr. Muscolo is a Teaching Assistant (since September 2025 to February 2026) at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Trento.

Since 2023, Dr. Muscolo obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in the Italian higher education system, for the disciplinary field of Applied Mechanics.

Dr. Muscolo received his M.Sc. (2008) and Ph.D. (2014) in Mechanical Engineering respectively from University of Pisa and University of Genoa, Italy.

He was a Research Fellow (since 2009 to 2012) and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (since 2015 to 2017) at Sant’ Anna School of Advanced Studies, Italy. Since 2012 to 2015 he was a Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Genoa, Italy. Since 2017 to 2018 he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (within the Advanced Robotics Research Line) at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, an English-speaking Research Institute. Dr. Muscolo was an Assistant Professor in Applied Mechanics at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) (since 2018 to 2021) and at University of Verona (Italy) (since 2021 to 2024). Since 2024 to 2025 he was a Research Fellow at University of Bologna (Italy).
