BSR-Blue Ski Research

The Blue Ski Research project is pioneering a next-generation ski binding designed to significantly enhance skier safety. By integrating real-time sensors and intelligent fall detection, the BSR binding can autonomously release skis during a fall—regardless of initial tension settings—thereby reducing the risk of serious leg injuries like Tibia and Fibula Fractures. Initially targeting professional and semi-professional athletes, the technology is engineered with mass-market adoption in mind, aiming to improve safety for all skiers and lower injury-related hospitalizations.

The Blue Ski Research project is funded by the Italian Fund for Applied Sciences – FISA.
