How to reach Trento and ECT*

HOW TO REACH TRENTO

By plane

The nearest airport is Verona Airport (Valerio Catullo – VRN), which about one hour by train from Trento. Other airports in the vicinity are Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi – BLQ), Milan (Linate – LIN, Malpensa – MXP), Venice (Marco Polo – VCE), Bergamo-Orio al Serio (Il Caravaggio – BGY).

By train

Tickets and timetables are available on the websites of the major train operators:

Trenitalia, Italo – all Italian routes
Deutsche Bahn, OEBB – routes from Munich/Innsbruck

By bus

Trento can also be reached directly from some airports and train stations by Flixbus.

By car
Exit the A22 motorway at “Trento Sud”, reaching Trento from both the south or the north. Follow signs for Centro Storico. For detailed driving directions, we suggest online resources such as MICHELIN or Google Maps.

HOW TO REACH ECT*

By bus
Trento has an efficient urban transport system run by Trentino Trasporti Spa. Tickets (approximately 1.20 €) can be purchased at a tobacconist or a newspaper shop before boarding the bus and must be validated after getting on the bus. Some hotels provide a Trentino Guest Card which allows free use of buses.

Bus lines to reach Villa Tambosi:

— line 6 and 6/

Walk straight across the park in front of the train station and reach via Alfieri. The bus stop for bus No.6 is in via Gazzoletti. (Do NOT take bus No.6 on the landing in front of the station. That bus goes in the wrong direction.) Take bus No.6 and get off in Villazzano at the “Villa Tambosi” stop, which is immediately after a roundabout. If you take bus 6/, there is a short detour up the hill to the village of San Rocco before the “Villa Tambosi” stop; to avoid this detour, you can get off at the stop “Villazzano Stazione FS” and walk 150m to the Villa.

The bus stop is in front of the train station. Get off in Villazzano at the “Villa Tambosi” stop, which is immediately after a roundabout .

By taxi 
There is a taxi service right outside the railway station. You can also call Radio Taxi service (Tel. +39-0461-930002). A ride from Trento downtown to ECT* “Villa Tambosi” in Villazzano costs about 15 €.
