ECT* welcomes three new PhD students
We are delighted to welcome three new PhD students to ECT*. Their research spans advanced materials modelling, nuclear many-body physics and quantum technologies, further enriching the scientific activities of our group.
Matilde Baldassarre works on multiscale modelling of advanced materials for energy applications, combining first-principles calculations, atomistic simulations, Monte Carlo methods, and machine learning.
Stefano Caldini focuses on Neural Quantum States for quantum many-body problems, with applications to electroweak decays, condensed matter physics, and quantum computing.
Matteo Reggiani investigates superconducting structures for quantum sensing and radiation-resistant materials for nuclear reactors using first-principles simulations.
We warmly welcome Matilde, Stefano, and Matteo to our scientific community and wish them a stimulating and successful PhD journey!
