Quantum technologies are at the forefront of scientific advancements and are poised to significantly impact our daily lives in the coming years. Their applications span, just to name a few, optimization tasks, quantum cryptography, and quantum simulation of complex many-body systems, which will have a high impact on fields like material sciences. A notable aspect of these technologies is their inherent interdisciplinary nature, necessitating a broad expertise in physics, computer science, and engineering. This workshop aims to promote this interdisciplinarity by training a new generation of scientists with the ability to understand and exploit the different aspects of quantum sciences and technologies (QST). The workshop will cover a broad spectrum of topics within QST, attracting international participants from diverse scientific backgrounds. It will be organized to ensure that attendees can follow the majority of presentations, regardless of their specific expertise. The subjects to be covered will be drawn from, but are not limited to, the following areas: optical and condensed matter platforms for quantum computing such as superconducting circuits, integrated photonic devices, quantum fluids of light, Rydberg atoms/trapped ions (etc) • quantum simulation of problems of interest for condensed-matter, nuclear, high-energy, and gravitational physics; hybrid quantum-classical systems for new functionalities, e.g., optomechanical devices or electronic-optic interfaces; • advanced mathematical concepts for quantum information, quantum topological matter, topological quantum computing; quantum-classical hybrid algorithms for the study of ground- and excited-states of electronic systems with an emphasis on quantum chemistry; and quantum machine learning applied to the study of noisy quantum data.
