Three-body systems in reactions with rare isotopes
ECT* - Villa Tambosi

The workshop “Three-Body Systems in Reactions with Rare Isotopes” aims at gathering top-class scientists working on the field of reactions with radioactive nuclear beams. The focus is to discuss ways to relate three-body problems, such as (d,p) reactions, to a number of other fields of many-body nuclear physics such as the development of effective interactions, the nuclear response to neutron capture and elastic and inelastic scattering of three-body systems. The long standing problem on how to extract information on neutron-induced reactions from easurements of (d,p) cross sections will be thoroughly discussed during the meeting. This topic has wide ramifications to other areas of nuclear physics and astrophysics and we expect to cover a broad selection of the hottest topics in the dynamics of nuclear systems. We encourage participation of a broad variety of nuclear astro/physicists.
