Gianluca Colò (University of Milan) and Silvia Masciocchi (GSI Germany) join the ECT* Scientific Board.

Dr. Maurizio Dapor, ECT* researcher and for many years head of the research unit ECT*-LISC, officially retired on April 30, 2026. His exceptional career spanned 40 years, with many research achievements, particularly on charge transport in solids. The ECT* community congratulates him on a well-deserved retirement and looks forward to his continuing association as FBK Distinguished Fellow.

On May 13, 2026 ECT*/FBK researcher Simone Taioli will deliver a talk during the conference “Le sfide dell’energia nucleare – tra sostenibilità e sicurezza” held at the Urban Center in Rovereto.

The deadline is May 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

The first in a series of joint PhD seminars will take place on 13 February 2026

On February 4 and 5, 2026, the workshop “Esperimenti mentali tra fisica e filosofia” organized by Maurizio Dapor (ECT*/FBK) and Manuela Valle (University of Trento) will have the participation of ECT* researchers Giovanni Garberoglio and Simone Taioli
